High Adventure 2026 - Set Sail at Sea Base!

The votes are in! Troop 638 is heading to Sea Base for our 2026 High Adventure trip and this time, we’re setting sail in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Camp Details:

• Dates: Tuesday, July 29 – Sunday, August 3, 2026

• Location: Sailing the Virgin Islands from St. Thomas aboard a tall ship

• Adventure: Scouts will eat, sleep, snorkel, and explore from a 40+ foot sailboat for 5 days, led by an experienced captain

• Eligibility: Open to Scouts who are at least 13 years old and 1st Class rank (or on track to be by the trip)

• Cost: 

  • Boat Reservation Deposit: $1,680 (covers 1/10th of the charter; submit check at upcoming meeting to reserve your spot)

  • Estimated Total Cost: ~$2,500

    • Airfare: ~$700, Hotel (possible 1-night stay): ~$100, Incidentals: ~$100

    • Remaining balance of boat cost: to be split once full crew is determined

Capacity:

We are starting with one boat (room for 10 Scouts and 2 adults). If interest exceeds this, we will book a second boat, depending on availability. The second crew may have slightly shifted dates.
