Our troop heads to Bears Den in Bluemont, Virginia, for a backpacking and camping weekend October 16-18, 2026.
Older Scouts will backpack Friday into Saturday and finish at the Bears Den campsite. Younger Scouts, and Scouts who are busy Friday or Saturday morning, will depart Saturday at noon and car camp at the Bears Den Cottage campsite. The whole troop will link up there early Saturday afternoon.
Saturday night brings a campfire, great camp food, and good fellowship in the outdoors. This will be a great event for all Scouts.
Join us on Saturday, October 24, 2026, for Graham’s Eagle Scout Service Project at Potomac Overlook Regional Park.
Volunteers will repair an old, rotten staircase next to the nature center and do some trail work nearby. Scouts and adults are both welcome. You can find more details and sign up through the SignUpGenius link below.
Registration for our next event will open shortly. Check back here or visit the Upcoming Events page for details. Questions? Email events@troop638.org.
